Purpose

NDTS (NMR Data Transfer System) is designed to:

  • Automatically harvest datasets from the spectrometer
  • Link users and PIsto datasets
  • Capture metadata automatically
  • Capture user-entered metadata

NDTS Components

NDTS consists of four main components:

  1. Daemon – harvests and send datasets from the spectrometer computer to the facility gateway
  2. GUI – provides interface for users to control dataset harvesting from spectrometers
  3. Receiver – accepts transmitted experiment at the NAN datacenter
  4. Parser – scans each dataset, generates additional metadata based on experimental parameters, creates database entries with corresponding metadata, and saves the dataset files to the NAN primary and disaster recovery storage.
