Datasets page of the Data Browser allows users to store, organize and share data. It is organized into
- Navigation menu (Left Panel) - enables users to efficiently locate and filter data
- Datasets table (Main Section) - displays all the datasets that the user has at least read access to.
All Datasets displays all datasets the user has at least read access to. These may include
- User's datasets
- Labmate's datasets
- Collaborator's data sets
Public datasets are visible as well.
Adding datasets from All Datasets to project, study, and/or collection will not remove the datasets from this view
My Collections will consist of collections created by the user that fall outside of a project
- Users can create multiple collections to manage datasets
Project can contain multiple studies
- Projects can also contain datasets that are ungrouped under a study or collection
- By default, datasets added directly to a project will be added to the “Default Project Collection” auto-generated as part of the project creation process
- Clicking on the project in the Datasets browser will display all datasets under this ungrouped default collection
Study can only exist under a project and can contain multiple collections
- Studies can also contain datasets that are ungrouped under a collection
- By default, datasets added directly to a study will be added to the “Default Study Collection” auto-generated as part of the study creation process
- Clicking on the study in the Datasets browser will display all datasets under this ungrouped default collection
- Collection created inside a project can only be added directly to a study and cannot exist directly under the project
